More than 5000 peaks can be found in Nepal. Among them only few peaks are permitted to climb. In permitted peaks Mera peak (6461 m) located 11 km southern of Mt. Everest (world’s tallest mountain) is 18th highest peak. It looks tiny in front of 8000 m mountains. Himalayan rock and ice creates obstacle in climbing due to which climbing in Mera beak is thrilling & challenging activity. We need to accumulate our self in many places to fit in weather. We need to have compulsory training of using climbing equipment like crampons & ice axe before climbing Mera peak.

Kathmandu is our starting point of our Mera peak climbing. Paiya, Nigmsa, Chhatra Khola, Tangnang, etc are the villages where we need to spend our some of the nights. We will have interaction with many peoples. We will be so much attractive with the friendly and hospitality behavior of the people. This makes us to do revisit in this place again. In some of our destination we will not able find any lodge so we need to spend our some of the nights in a tented camp. In this way we will climb Mera peak and return back to Kathmandu with a early morning flight by Lukla.

Mera peak one of the most technically and challenging peak to climb in Khumbu region. We should have Good physical and mental structure of our body. We need have medical test. We need to have special permit to climb this peak. October, November, December, March, April and May have good climatic condition to climb Mera peak. We the team of Chomolungma Adventures Pvt. Ltd. will arrange you Mera peak for climbing with professional guides and equipments. The date of climbing is made according to your choice.

Itineraries

Day 01

Arrival to Kathmandu.

After landing flight at TIA, representative of Chomolungma Adventures Pvt. Ltd. will warmly receive you. We will shift you towards your hotel. We will enjoy delicious dinner at night. After dinner is finished we will give brief description of the Mera Peak climbing program which is our destination.

Day 02

Kathmandu exploration and preparation for trek.

Today is the rest day and preparation day for our whole trek. Beside this we will spend our remaining day by sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley. Firstly we will visit Pashupatinath one of the holiest temple of Lord Shiva, Bauddhanath Little Tibet and to Swayambhunath Monkey Temple. Then from here we will drive to Basantpur Durbar Square at hanuman dhokha. Spending some time we will return hotel and prepare our trek for tomorrow.

Day 03

Fly to Lukla 2800m and trek to Paiya.

We will take early morning mountain flight toward Lukla. Magnificent view of mountain ranges with snow cap can be seen from our flight. On reaching Lukla we will take our luggage and start our walking trek. We will trek toward Paiya. By following the main trial it will take us about 3 to 4 hours to reach Paiya.

Day 04

Paiya to Pangkoma

Early morning after having breakfast we trek toward Pangkoma. Our todays walk goes for about 5 to 6 hours. Track of Dudh Koshi River will be our walking track. In this way we will enter the part of Sagarmatha national park. Beautiful forest of rhododendron and bamboo will be so much attractive in our way.

Day 05

Pangkoma to Nigmsa

From Pangkoma our next destination is Nigmsa. Track of Shibuche village eill be our main walking trial. First glimpses of Mera peak will be so much impressive. Unknowingly the beautiful track leads us to Nigmsa where we will can visit places and get knowledge. Lastly we will return back to our place for rest and spend our cool night.

Day 06

Trek to Chhatra Khola

After having breakfast, we will continue our journey toward Chhatra Khola. We will walk on the steep and sloppy trail which is narrow and mountain trail. It creates difficulty in walking but forest of rhododendron and bamboo refresh us while walking. After walking for 5 hours we will reach destination for night.

Day 07

Chhatra khola to Kothe

Early morning after having breakfast we will continue toward Kothe. Our main walking trial will be from Hinku Valley. Over here we can observe the splendid view of nature. Mesmerizing view of Mera peak can be enjoyed from the bamboo forest. After passing Tashing Dingma we will reach at Kothe 3600 m to stay our night.

Day 08

Kothe to Tangnang

Our today’s destination will be Tangnang. The shadow of Mera peak will be our main walking trial. Some beautiful monasteries and the glorious view of giant mountains mountain ranges are so much attractive in our path. Finally we will reach Tangnang unknowingly. Over here we will spend our night.

Day 09

Tangnang to Khare

Today we will walk toward Khare. Beautiful glacial rivers will be our main walking trial. We will view some spectacular view of Charpate Himal. Coming closer or Mera Peak makes us so much happy. The beautiful north faces of Mera peak can be observed from here. Our night will be cool at Khare.

Day 10

Khare to Mera peak base camp

We will walk a gradual climb over to the Mera Peak Base camp. The spectacular view of beautiful surrounding can be seen from the height which will be so much impressive. After reaching on base camp we will spend our sometime exploring around the places. Our night will be cool and exhilarating at base camp of Mera peak in a tent.

Day 11

Base camp to High camp

From base camp, we will hike toward high camp. We need to walk on the snowy path to the High Camp. If you are professional trekkers then you can make the attempt to the summit directly from the Base camp. Since, we are beginners we will set up camp at High camp and to stay cool night.

Day 12

High camp to Mera peak summit and back to Khare

Today is the most important day of our whole walk. We will climb up to peak and return back to Khare. Our today’s walk goes for 7 to 8 hours to reach our so we need to start a bit earlier. We will continue our journey until we reach at the top of Mera Peak. After reaching on the top the panoramic view around the region will be so much impressive. For memory we can take some picture in our camera. After spending some time we will return back down way to rest. We will have relaxing night at the land of Himalayas.

Day 13

Khare to Kothe

After completing our dream project we will trek further down to Kothe. Our returning journey goes easier since we need to trek downward. It will take us about 5 to 6 hours to reach Kothe. We will have opportunity of viewing ranges of mountains with the beauty of nature. In this way we will be at Kothe to stay our night.

Day 14

Kothe to Thuli Kharka

Our Today’s walk will be the easiest walk. We just need to trek downward to reach Thuli Kharka. We will follow our main trial. While returning we can get the magnificent views of Mera peak. It may be our last view. We will miss Mera peak. Like this we will reach Thuli Kharka to stay our night.

Day 15

Thuli Kharka to Lukla

From Thuli Kharka, we will walk toward the Lukla ending point of our climb. Dudh Koshi River track will be our main walking track. It will lead us into the Sagarmatha national park. Walking slowly by resting many places we will reach to Lukla through the main trail. On reaching lukla we will make confirmation for tomorrow’s flight.

Day 16

Lukla to Kathmandu

We will catch the early morning flight over to Kathmandu. Magnificent view of mountain ranges with snow cap can be seen from our flight. After reaching Kathmandu we will visit spectacular places around the valley. Lastly we will return back to our hotel for our night and make preparation for tomorrow’s flight.

Day 17

Final Departure

After having a night rest at Kathmandu, we will pack our luggage to return back to our home land. We need to reach at airport 3 hours before the flight. Chomolungma Adventures Pvt. Ltd. we will attend a small farewell program for you. We hope, while returning back to home country you will think for a re visit to Nepal. We hope for your better journey.
