Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will welcome you with a warm Nepali greeting. You'll be transferred to your hotel in the lively area of Thamel. After check-in, you can rest or explore the nearby local markets and restaurants. In the evening, we’ll hold a short briefing about the Nar Phu Valley Trek itinerary.

    Today is dedicated to both acclimatization and cultural immersion. After breakfast, we explore some of Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites:

    • Pashupatinath Temple – Sacred Hindu cremation site on the banks of the Bagmati River.
       
    • Boudhanath Stupa – One of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world.
       
    • Kathmandu Durbar Square (Basantapur) – Royal palace complex filled with courtyards and temples.
       
    • Patan Durbar Square – Known for its exquisite Newari architecture and art.
       

    Meanwhile, our team will arrange the necessary Nar Phu Valley trekking permits, including the restricted area permit and ACAP.

      After an early breakfast, we begin our scenic drive westward along the Prithvi Highway. The first leg takes us to Besisahar, the traditional starting point of the Annapurna Circuit. From here, we switch to a rugged jeep ride that follows the Marsyangdi River, winding through waterfalls, cliffs, and remote villages until we reach Dharapani.

        Our first trekking day begins with a gentle walk through pine and fir forests, traditional stone villages, and terraced farmlands. After crossing a suspension bridge and passing through Bagarchhap and Timang, we reach Koto, the gateway to the Nar Phu Valley Trek.

          After registering our permits at the police checkpoint, we enter the restricted Nar Phu Valley. The trail follows the Nar Khola (river), climbing through dense forests, narrow gorges, and past cascading waterfalls. Meta is the first Tibetan-influenced village in this region, offering incredible views of snowcapped peaks.

            The trail today is dramatic and scenic. You’ll cross several suspension bridges, pass ancient stone chortens, and follow a rocky trail through arid alpine terrain. Kyang, once a temporary winter settlement, offers views of Pisang Peak and other Himalayas.

              Today is a shorter but rewarding hike. The trail enters the wide Phu Valley, crossing over a wooden bridge and past the ruins of forts, ancient walls, and chortens. After a final steep climb, we reach Phu Village, an isolated settlement with Tibetan architecture and a medieval atmosphere.

                This is an important rest and acclimatization day. For adventure seekers, a hike to the Himlung Himal Base Camp offers breathtaking views of glaciers and 7,000-meter peaks. The area is a high-altitude desert, resembling the Tibetan plateau.

                  Retracing our steps, we descend through the valley and hike toward the trail junction near Nar Phedi. Tonight, we stay at a simple but hospitable monastery guesthouse, where you can observe Buddhist practices and enjoy home-cooked vegetarian meals.

                    The trail today is short but climbs steadily to Nar Village, another beautiful Tibetan settlement. Nar is larger and livelier than Phu and has many colorful chortens and mani walls. Interact with friendly locals and soak in the ancient Buddhist culture.

                      The most challenging day of the trek! We start early and climb to the Kang La Pass, which offers one of the most spectacular panoramic views of Annapurna II, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak. After a brief rest at the top, we descend to Ngawal, a beautiful village on the main Annapurna Circuit.

                        From Ngawal, we descend to Pisang or Chame and catch a jeep back to Besisahar, tracing the route through deep valleys and terraced farmland.

                          We drive back to Kathmandu, enjoying the countryside views along the way. After arriving, check into your hotel and enjoy a hot shower and a relaxing evening.

                            Today is a buffer/rest day. You can go shopping for souvenirs, enjoy a massage, or visit additional sites like Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) and Garden of Dreams. We will also host a farewell dinner in the evening.
